Facsimiles of found breezeblocks in Puerto Rico, commonly used in balconies and driveways to form barriers that permit both light and breeze. Crafted from cast resin rather than traditional concrete, these blocks emulate the form and texture of their predecessors. Yet, their unique translucency, tinged with a spectrum of colors, collectively produces a gradient reminiscent of a Caribbean coast postcard scene. However, this picturesque image is juxtaposed with the reality of decay, as these structures bear witness to the relentless impact of rising sea levels.
